Why My iPhone Has Been Awlfully Quiet

Wikipedia defines buyer’s remorse as the sense of regret after having made a purchase. It is frequently associated with the purchase of big-ticket items such as a car or house or an iPhone. It may stem from fear of making(having made) the wrong choice, or from guilt over extravagance, or of suspecting having been “snowed” by a sales associate.

My iPhone : I should give it a name

I bought my iPhone when I went to Malaysia. It seemed like a brilliant idea when I was doing the actual buying but after I was done drooling over it back at my hotel room, I went through buyer’s remorse. It’s just a phone, I beat myself up. Perhaps I should have bought a CAR instead?! I mean, if I had added a little more money on what it cost me, I could have paid my first installment for a used Japanese car baby of a car that ladies love to have.

But because buyer remorse seldom lasts long, soon I was allover my iphone again.

I LOVE my iPhone. Heck, I even love its alarm ring tone when it wakes me up in the morning.

It’s an iPhone 4.

It’s white(white is costlier and more rare than black) and it is a joy to touch.

Steve Jobs made the Apple brand an experience that one enjoys having. He created products that were simple but very classy.

Like millions across the world, I learnt of Steve Jobs’ death through my iPhone. In his tribute to Jobs, US president Barrack Obama befittingly said “There may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.

The passing on of Steve Jobs saddens the world because this was a man who created a brand and innovative products that inspire(d).

But for one caller who has called to CANCEL a meeting, my iPhone has been awfully quiet today. My guess is that it is in mourning as well. Today, we mourn the passing on of an innovative creator and inspirational leader who was Steve Jobs.

His work still lives with us and inspires us and for that, we celebrate his life.

Thank you Steve. You lived. You created. You inspired.
